It was a big night!

Ok let's ignore the fact that I haven't updated in an incredibly sad amount of time... tonight was a momentous occasion and I had to share the news.  I figured I could post it on the blog because really, no one wants to hear about this on Facebook...

Milena pooped in the potty!!!  Oh my goodness, I seriously cried.  Is that weird??  Haha.  We've been working on potty training for about a month now and things have been going very....... slow..... But this weekend, Milena has been doing so well.  She has shown excitement in going to the bathroom and has gone everytime we've gotten her on the toilet.  It's been awesome.  She stills pees in her pullup, but I honestly think it's because it's too much like a diaper.  she does her best when we just let her run around naked.

So anyhow, the girls had gone out to dinner with Bruno and his mom, so when they got back home around 8, it was really time to just change them and get them to bed.  When I was changing Milena, I saw that her pullup was completely dry, so I asked if she needed to go potty.  She smiled and said, "Go Potty!" and we went to the bathroom.  So yep, she immediately peed and then we started reading her book (for the record, both girls love "One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish" as their bathroom reading.  So as we're reading it, she gets that look on her face and wouldn't you know, she pooped!  I was so excited!  Hahaha.

So yeah, we're getting there.  I just had to share the excitement, and document the occasion.

Luciana is working on potty training as well, but she's just not where Milena is.  She sits on the toilet and shows interest, but hasn't really gone at all.  Honestly it's easier to just focus on one of them at a time.  I'm certain once Milena is further along, almost trained, then Luciana will catch on.

So sorry for the extreme lack of updates, and sorry that the one you get is about the bathroom but hey, where else can I spread the news?!
