Yes, ladies and gentlemen, we are mobile. We are BOTH mobile. And let me tell you, they are a handful to keep tabs on! Perhaps more Milena than Luciana, but I think Luciana is starting to get as curious as her sister.
To be honest, I was stressed out about the girls crawling. Ask Bruno, ask my coworkers, even ask our daycare! I was stressed... I've read everything and heard from everyone about how babies develop at their own speed and they'll get there and not to worry and blah blah blah :) But that didn't change my mind. The girls were developing with everything else, but just didn't get this yet. And Luciana didn't seem to have any interest in ever crawling. Sigh. But then it happened... Milena was our first to get mobile. We got her moving with the shining metal end of her pacifier clip. We were so excited! She started slowly, only crawling when she HAD to, but otherwise content in sticking around where she was. Not so much any more. She is our constant mover and turning into quite the daredevil. But as much work as it is, I'm a very happy Momma.
Luciana started crawling a few weeks after Milena. I somewhat assumed she would start going as soon as Milena did, but instead, she just got frustrated that she WASN'T moving. We would help her stand up and support herself on various items, but she would then just watch Milena and cry. Daycare then told us she was starting to crawl around backwards, much like Milena did before she learned to crawl forward. I don't think she ever got herself stuck in corners or under cribs like her sister, but she was on the move! Initially, she only crawled to get her toys, but now she's moving around just to check things out. I love it!
Aside from crawling around, the girls went to see their daddy play in his band. It was a fun show, though pretty loud. So we got the girls some headphones to protect their ears and we're pretty certain they worked. Luciana and Milena loved it! They were dancing and clapping and keeping an eye on daddy the whole time. Oh, and how do we know the headphones worked? Luciana managed to pass out in the middle of the set! This does not give any negative opinion to daddy's music, she was just exhausted.
We try to take the girls to the park when we can, and get them out in the fresh air. I had taken them a few months back and they didn't take to the swings all that much. This time around was a different story!

At the end of the month, the girls took their first roadtrip with Grandma and Grandpa. Bruno and I had plans to go the the local Virginia Tech football game, so Grandma and Grandpa offered to take the girls down to Richmond to celebrate their cousin Max's first birthday. They had a great time loved Tia K's crockpot mac and cheese.

As I mentioned above, you definitely love music. One of your favorite things to do with your toys is grab a block in each hand and bang them together to make noise. You smile so big and look at us with such delight.
You also love to bang on any box you can find. The music is in you that's for sure.
You are our little eater... or well, big eater! You love to eat and will not hesitate to eat anything we put in front of you. Sometimes I think you could eat for hours if we kept putting food on your plate.
This month you mastered the art of drinking from your bottle while sitting up. I guess you were tired of laying down and eating! It takes you a little more time to do it this way, but we let you keep trying anyway.
When you are excited you like to yell. Loud. It's not a shrieky yell like your sister, but a full belly yell. Strong.
You love to laugh... it almost seems like the smallest thing will get you going and we all can't help but laugh with you. You are just such a happy baby!
You know what else you love? Your owl! It is by far your favorite toy and although you aren't attached to it that he NEED it, but you get so excited when you find him. It is absolutely adorable!
We didn't weigh you at 10 months, but we'd guess you're around 20 lbs. You are still wearing 9m onesies, but 12m pants. We're trying to put you in shoes... but I don't know if there's really a point!
You love to eat tofu and blueberries. And of course puffs!

You are most drawn to cords and electronics. And paper. And anything you can grab and put in your mouth. Trouble that's for sure!
When you're sitting and you get excited, you move your legs in and out really quick. Like toy want to just go crazy, but you just can't yet.
You are a big time crawler - very curious about everything. Just crawling to your toy won't suffice. No you have to crawl on top of things... and under things... and sometimes even through things!
You are a very flexible girl. When we wake you in the morning, you are often practicing what I like to call the "V Sit and Sleep." You basically sit on your butt, and fold your torso over top of your legs and somehow, that's a comfortable way to sleep.
You love to be upside down. When we hold you, you love to arch your back and let all the blood rush to your head. So silly!
We lowered your crib this month. We didn't want you flipping over the side because knowing your curiosity, you would.
You still seem to always have a congested nose, but we hope this month's duct cleaning will put an end to that!
We didn't weigh you at 10 months, but we'd guess you're around 18.5 lbs. You are still wearing 9m onesies and 9m pants. We're trying to put you in shoes... but I don't know if there's really a point!
You love to eat cottage cheese and mandarin oranges. And of course puffs!
Next month we look forward to (2) weekend sleepovers with Vovo, your first trip to the Pumpkin Patch and your friend Lilah's 1st birthday celebration!
